Learn to Cope with Acne Rosacea... I Did!
Before I get ahead of myself, first let me describe briefly what acne rosacea is:
Rosacea is a skin condition characterized by mild to severe redness around the cheeks, nose, forehead and chin. It can also include acne-like bumps and/or small but visible blood vessels, which make it all the more worse. In the worst cases, rosacea can affect the eyes and even eventually cause skin to thicken, and cause the nose to become bulbous.
This is what I felt like doing a lot of the time!----->
As a teenager, I struggled with it and assumed it was only acne, which I had mostly in my t-zone (forehead, nose, chin area). I tried everything from the gentlest of creams, lotions and face washes to the harshest, but NOTHING would help alleviate the redness and the bumps from my nose, cheeks and chin. In fact, most of the time, my face looked worse.
I didn't know that underneath I also had another skin condition called rosacea.
I eventually discovered I had rosacea after a visit to the dermatologist's office. Although I didn't have a severe form of it, it didn't take much for my dermatologist to determine that yes, I certainly did have it. I was instantly given a prescription for topical medication, and while I used it consistently, never really saw the redness go away.

I soon learned that the medication he gave me would reduce the acne-like bumps that occurred, but would not take away the constant flush to my face. Unfortunately, unless I had laser surgery or heavy-duty antibiotics, my acne rosacea would never go away. In fact, I learned it can get worse if left untreated.
That scared me because I certainly didn't want to struggle with it forever!
So feeling discouraged and hopeless, all i could do was continue to be good about using my topical medication. Unfortunately though, I was running into another problem.
The problem was that every time I'd wash and moisturize my face, my rosacea looked ever MORE red, bumpy and irritated, plus my skin felt tight and itchy. My skin was just a complete wreck.
Initially I thought my rosacea was just getting really bad, but then I tried a new approach.
I gave my skin a break and tried a skin care line based on natural, botanical principles, I saw the difference in my skin immediately!
